Step into the spotlight... International Women's Day with She Creates
Come one, come all!
We’re stepping into the spotlight for 2026 to celebrate International Women’s Day with the heart of Adelaide’s creative communications industry. This year we’re dialling up the honesty, the humour and the heart.
We’re leaving corporate fluff backstage and bringing you the real stuff.
In the beautiful setting of Victoria Park Social Club, we’re proud to welcome an award-winning cabaret artist, professional feminist and our very special guest, Millicent Sarre.
Millicent dives into the conversation we’re already having behind-the-scenes, about pressure, progress and the pace of modern life with razor-sharp wit and powerhouse vocals.
With a full suite of exciting raffle prizes up for grabs, we’ll donate proceeds to the Adelaide Fringe Foundation so you’ll feel the power behind giving back.
Indulge in an afternoon of flowing drinks, delicious canapes, fresh perspective and plenty of belly laughs while coming together to celebrate, reflect and recharge.

Cabaret artist
Millicent Sarre is a cabaret artist, composer & lyricist, musical theatre actor, and performing arts mentor, brought up and working on Kaurna Land. Bringing her acclaimed Adelaide Fringe show, Millicent Sarre is Too Tired to Smash (Patriarchy), Millicent dives into the cost-of-living crisis, digital overload and modern burnout with razor-sharp wit and powerhouse vocals.
Millicent has toured her original cabaret works Australia-wide. Her most recent solo show ‘Millicent Sarre is Opinionated’ won ‘Best Cabaret’ of Adelaide Fringe 2023, and she is one-third of the award-winning comedy-cabaret trio ‘Bisexual Intellectuals’.
With co-writer Joseph Simons, she is currently writing music and lyrics for the new musical ‘PRIMETIME’, most recently featured as Adelaide Cabaret Festival’s 2025 Musical-in-Development. Millicent has been a mentor of the Adelaide Cabaret Festival’s Class of Cabaret program since 2024, and made her professional theatre debut in 2025 in the Australian premiere of ‘Kimberly Akimbo’.
The event will begin at 2pm, with performance by Millicent Sarre on at 3pm followed by a raffle draw. The event wraps up at 6pm, but plan your night to continue on at the Adelaide Fringe!
Street parking is available for this event, however if you plan on taking advantage of the drinks we suggest you find another means of transport to make the most of the afternoon!
